The August 2018 Ophthalmic ASC

The latest issue of OASC features articles on the nuances of providing top-tier refractive cataract surgery, staffing your ASC for maximum efficiency, and the science behind new guidelines to address instrument sterilization and cleaning.

Many may recognize these guidelines as those referenced during Washington Council Mike Romansky’s Washington Update (follow link, see video at bottom of page) at the 2018 OOSS Perspective meeting. As a part of the Ophthalmic Instrument Cleaning and Sterilization (OICS) task force, OOSS has worked alongside ASCRS and AAO to help release these specialty-specific guidelines addressing cleaning and sterilization standards for cataract and anterior segment surgery.
