CMS Delays Reporting Deadline for Two ASC Measures
As OOSS members are aware, the reporting period for two web-based measures – Measure ASC-6, Safe Surgery Checklist Use; Measure ASC-7, ASC Facility Volume Data on Selected Surgical Procedures – was originally scheduled to commence on July 1, 2013 and extend through August 15. Due to technical problems, the start date was delayed by ten days while CMS’ Quality Reporting Contractor worked through various software issues.
Because of these delays, the deadline for reporting on these measures through the QualityNet website has been extended to August 23, 2013.
For further information regarding submission of data for Measures ASC-6 and ASC-7 through registration for QualityNet, please review OOSS Update Online: To Avoid Medicare ASC Payment Reductions, Register Now for QualityNet at https://ooss.org/2013/06/.
Should you have any questions, please contact OOSS’ Washington Counsel, Michael Romansky at mromansky@OOSS.org or the CMS Contractor at 866-800-8756 or at https://cms-ocsq.custhelp.com/.
